Kate Williams (Elsie), Jake Parker (baby). Young Jake cried most of the time (and who could blame him with the bomb special effects going off all around him). During one night’s shooting we were visited by the local welfare officer who demanded to know which parent was responsible (or irresponsible) for this forlorn child. Everyone pointed towards the director.
